About
Hello! I’m Bex.
After undergoing electrolysis myself, I realised how life-changing it could be and how important it was to provide a space that was accessible, relaxed, and totally LGBTQIA+ friendly.
My qualifications
I’m a fully certified and insured member of the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis (BIAE). The BIAE is the only professional body that requires you to complete an entry exam and Continuous Professional Development training each year to uphold their high, professional standards.
I have a VTCT Level 3 in Electrolysis and have undertaken training sessions with previous members of the BIAE board, Gender Awareness course and CPD courses.
You can view my BIAE credentials on their website.
My practice
I became an electrologist to create the kind of environment that my clients need. I have experience working with a wide range of clients including transgender clients, people new to electrolysis, clients with PCOS, nervous clients and those with low pain tolerance.
I strongly believe in offering affordable options for clients who may need more financial flexibility by having a pay-it-forward scheme and opening up half-price slots for those who may not be able to access treatment otherwise.
Aside from electrolysis, you’ll normally find me sewing, swing dancing, learning silly circus skills or ruining my bathroom by dying my hair purple.
Hello! I’m Nikki.
I have a VTCT Level 3 in Electrolysis and am teaming up with my friend Bex of Zahra Electrolysis to bring permanent hair removal to more people in London. I have PCOS and spent a lot of time in my twenties and thirties dealing with unwanted hair - laser, shaving, waxing, plucking, you name it. Then I discovered electrolysis thanks to Bex, who dealt with lots of my hair when she was training! I was so delighted by the difference permanent hair removal made to my life, so I got my qualification with the aim of passing that feeling on to others.
I'm especially keen to help people feel comfortable when they come in for treatment. It can be uncomfortable but there are lots of things we can do to make it easier. Feel free to pick some music to listen to while your treatment takes place, or ask me about stress balls/other fidget toys if you'd like something to do with your hands during a session.
When I'm not busy banishing hair you'll find me riding my bike around the city (and sometimes beyond), doing silly DIY projects, and going to bouncy little gigs.
